Empire has debuted these first three photos from Michael Bay’s Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen as well as a new cover featuring Optimus Prime, while USA Today has published two articles on the filming that took place at White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico that stood in for much of a battle that will take place in Cairo, Egypt in the movie. There’s some spoilers in the articles, but you can read them here and here. Also, a few more production stills came out via Coming Soon.

The anticipated sequel, starring Shia LaBeouf, Megan Fox, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson, John Turturro, Isabel Lucas, Rainn Wilson and Jennifer Alden, opens in conventional theaters and IMAX on June 26.

Hey everyone. Back from Egypt and Jordan - we had a wonderful shoot over there. I will miss the crew they were an amazing bunch of people and a lot of fun.

I’m stuck in the edit room up to my eye balls - also finished producing Friday the 13th and The Unborn - coming out the after the new year. Our Trailer for Transformers you have been asking about - First there will be a teaser poster soon after the new year, and the teaser trailer will be out either in the theaters early Feb. or on the Superbowl. Cannot decide yet. I’m going to release some set stills on this site in a few weeks. I’ll keep you informed. Going back to do more selects now from my portable avid that I take home from work. It’s late, see you.

ComingSoon reports filming wasn’t wrapped after all.

Director Michael Bay, Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel and Tyrese filmed scenes for Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen on aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis last weekend and Seibertron has the scoop with a set report and photos of the filming.

A major milestone quietly passed last weekend: the first major Hollywood film in decades filmed in the heart of the Middle East. Transformers II turned its cameras at the Pyramids in Egypt, and again in the upper Egyptian town of Luxor, near the famed Valley of the Kings. This is significant for many reasons but mainly because it represents a rare move by two Hollywood studios, Paramount and DreamWorks, to connect to a country and culture that is perceived to be hostile the United States.
