It was recently revealed that MGM hired Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa (“Big Love,” “Glee”) to write the script for the upcoming “Carrie” remake, based on a Stephen King novel. After the announcement, King mentioned that the casting process will be very interesting, naming Lindsay Lohan as someone who could play the role. Now comes word that Megan Fox is interested in playing Carrie.

“Megan is a huge fan of the original and would love the chance to play the lead,” said a source close to the actress. “She’s 25 now but she’s sure she could still do justice to teenage Carrie.”

Sounds really interesting! Good luck Megan!

“Transformers” star Megan Fox has signed up for Judd Apatow’s movie, the spin-off of Seth Rogen’s brilliant “Knocked Up”. The movie is also set to star Leslie Mann and Paul Rudd in the same roles they held in the original movie. However, Fox’s part in the movie is as yet a mystery. Fox’s husband, former “90210″ star, Brian Austin Green let the cat out of the bag recently when he spoke to Extra. He said

“She met with Judd Apatow and from what I heard, they got along smashingly well…So she’s excited. I think she starts in June.”

Fox recently finished up shooting “Friends with Kids” alongside “Madmen” star Jon Hamm, Edward Burns and, up and coming Irish star, Chris O’Dowd.

Megan Fox is in negotiations to star alongside Paul Rudd and Leslie Mann in Judd Apatow‘s latest directing vehicle for Universal. Rudd and Mann are reprising their characters of husband and wife from Apatow’s Knocked Up in a new story by the writer-director.

Fox’s role is being kept under wraps. Apatow is producing the movie with Barry Mendel and Clayton Townsend. The Apatow picture marks a return to the studio world for Fox who recently wrapped Friends With Kids opposite Jon Hamm, Kristen Wiig and Adam Scott for Jennifer Westfeldt, who wrote and directed. Megan Fox is joining “Friends With Kids,” an ensemble comedy from Jennifer Westfeldt. Westfeldt wrote the script and will star as well as produce with her partner Jon Hamm. She also will direct, with a hand from Mike Nichols and Jake Kasdan, who are executive producing.
The project already has cast Adam Scott and Kristen Wiig for the story, which revolves around a pair of thirtysomething best friends who observe the toll that having kids has taken on the couples they know and resolve to bypass that stress by having a child and then date other people. Scott and Westfeldt will play the lead couple; Wiig and Hamm will play another. A third couple has not been cast. Fox will play a girl who Scott begins to date.

“It’s a very literate script and when Jen met with her, she thought Megan was spot on. When (Fox) picks the right part, she has tremendous value,” said Cinetic Media’s John Sloss, who is handling sales. The movie will be released theatrically in April.
“Jen wrote one of the funniest and most original scripts I’ve read in a long time, the rare great generational character comedy,” Kasdan said. Fox, repped by ICM, next appears opposite Mickey Rourke and Bill Murray in the feature fable “Passion Play,” which made its debut at the Toronto International Film Festival and sold to Image Entertainment in a low-seven-figure deal.
Can’t wait to hear more anout the movie! Congrats to Megan for the new role!
