What does the future hold for Megan and her body art? She is planning to sleeve her left arm (the one with the Marilyn Monroe tattoo). “Everyone’s gonna have a heart attack about it!” She is going to remove the tribal symbol from her right arm because it was not done correctly.
“People are so close-minded to tattoos. People who don’t like me, as far as fans go, one of the things they always talk about is that I’m trashy because I have tattoos. And I find that insane because it’s 2008, it’s not 1950 anymore and tattoos aren’t limited to sailors. It’s a form of art and one of the oldest forms of art in existence. I find them to be beautiful and I love it. I’m not gonna let something like that stop me.”
“I’m an artist also, and I sketch up all of my own tattoos. As lame as it sounds, it really is a form of expression for me. I don’t want to be one of those people who has their arms sleeved, or a shirt or vest of tattoos. But it is something that I really enjoy. So until I think I pushed it far enough, I’m going to keep getting them.”
“Every time I get a tattoo, it’s a little fuck you to anyone who tells me not to. It’s weird to be part of Hollywood, which tries to control every aspect of people, from what they say to the color of their hair. And I like the way getting a tattoo feels. If I’m depressed, it’s nice to get one and deal with the pain. I have one all the way down to my ribs. It hurt, but it felt good, like twisting a loose tooth. I’m not kidding when I say that if I ever lose a role because of my tattoos, I’ll quit Hollywood and go to work at Costco.”
“All the tattoos that I’ve gotten are things that I got on the spur of the moment and that I’m very passionate about. All the rest of my tattoos have very deep meanings. They’re not things I would ever get removed for any reason.”
